[ He watches her go through 'the drill' and smiles wryly to himself. Not a doctor but obviously comfortable enough with such procedures to handle her own portions without comment or need for assistance. He'll wait til she's back before- ]
I didn't wish to presume. Shaw certainly serves. You're welcome to call me Reid or Dr. Reid, as it suits.
[And also comfortable enough that she doesn't appear awkward or shy as she pads back in, barefoot and in the flimsy gown, and waits for the go-ahead before hopping up onto the table.]
Thanks for doing this. I know the flood made things pretty busy.
[ The scanner will do this thing, and Reid will enjoy the experience for all that he knows there is nothing in her head. Having the ability to confirm with the equipment what his own senses would tell him is exceptionally helpful in the learning process. All the same, he does take down what information he can from the scan before he shuts everything down, steps out, and lets her know, voice soft- ]
I'm going to take the smock off, miss-
Shaw. You can go and get dressed once again. Once you're ready, we can go over the findings.

[But having the immediate answer out in the open helps, too. She redresses quickly - underwear, pants and t-shirt, earring studs, socks and boots - and comes back out, balling up the gown to discard.]
You pick things up quick.
[She says, nodding at the bodyscanner.]

In truth, there is far less to do utilizing this machinery than the version I was privileged to use previously, a far earlier design. But I admit to a fondness for puzzles, working out the means and precise requirements of a task. I suppose it will serve me well here, as I adjust.
